President @ Duetto Group
Shawn Bullard has a national reputation for having a broad understanding of Washington’s public policy process. For nearly three decades he has provided strategic counsel to hundreds of high-tech CEOs, association executives and entrepreneurs.
Shawn specializes in disruptive technologies, such as those driving the emerging field of telemedicine. In this sector, he has advanced federal health policy, provided opportunities for telemedicine champions to testify before Congress and supported a bipartisan caucus to educate members of Congress on the benefits of telemedicine.
Before launching Duetto Group in 2005, Shawn advised some of the largest healthcare-related organizations in the nation as the vice president of government relations for Golin Harris, an Interpublic Group Company. He also worked as the legislative policy director for the nation’s top 100 metropolitan county executives/mayors with a focus on health care reimbursement. Shawn began his career in Washington when asked to serve as a senior legislative staffer to a newly elected member of the U.S. House of Representatives.
Shawn is a much-sought-after strategist, speaker and moderator, who loves tackling federal policy impacted by emerging trends and disruptive technologies. He sits on multiple boards and advisory committees, and holds a Masters degree from George Mason University’s Schar School of Policy and Government, where he has served on the school’s national alumni board.
A former competitive sailboat racer, Shawn now enjoys sailing on the Chesapeake Bay. With a strong appreciation for rolling art, he enjoys racing his vintage Alfa Romeo. And when he’s not sailing or racing he takes to the trails to cycle or hike in the Shenandoah National Forest with his family.
