Senior Director, Health & Wellness @ Walmart
Alex leads business development for Walmart’s U.S. Health & Wellness division where he focuses on solutions to drive down the cost of healthcare by leveraging Walmart’s broad assortment of products and services.
Alex’s career has spanned multiple industries across the Americas, Europe, Asia and Africa. Alex began his career in investment banking with Deutsche Bank. He spent several years with the Clinton Foundation, supporting national governments with the rapid expansion of HIV/AIDS programs and later as the leader of the global waste program, advising mayors of the world’s forty largest cities. Prior to joining Walmart, Alex served as a consultant to corporations in emerging markets, start-up companies in the renewable energy industry and several United Nations agencies.
Alex serves as Chair for the Hispanic Latino Associate Resource Group at Walmart and as Co-Chair for the Health & Wellness pillar at the Consumer Goods Forum. He holds a BA in Global Business from the University of Florida and MBA from the Kellogg School of Management & Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. He is a Fulbright Scholar, fluent in English, French, Spanish, Italian and German, and a recipient of Cambodia’s “Sahametrei” Medal of Honor.
